oops, just missed my service date .. well actually it's due tomorrow.

Yes, my fault BUT on the MyToyota app under servicing  and maintenance it says 42 days left, last maintenance 1 Nov 2023, next maintenance 40,000ml or 1st Nov. When I looked up my paperwork, that's the date the MOT is due, not the servicing!

Anyone else fallen foul of this?

Had my Corolla serviced yesterday, due date for 12 months service is actually 21st September but the MyToyota app service card states 11 days and has been saying service due in 11 days since early September. It doesn’t seem to change or update so if you don’t cover the 10,000 miles and rely on a 12month service interval it may be best to add the due date to your phone calendar. I set it to approx 3 weeks before the due date so I could book the exact date I required with the Dealer

Yeah same...it seems to update at an odd interval...maybe every 21 days or miles covered.

Not a big deal. Just book a service asap.
As long as you don’t drive 200 miles a day there won’t be any issues.

I don’t know bout you but I get several phone calls from my original dealer in the weeks leading up to my service reminding me it is due. This year I chose a dealer closer to home as my original service plan ended but the original dealer phoned a few times reminding me it was not booked in.

Yes, I got repeated emails and texts from the supplying dealer after it was already serviced by another. But then they're still sending sales/event details after many times telling them I will never deal with them again.

I just open the service book and check the date/mileage of the last stamp when I know it's getting to that time of year. It's old-fashioned, but it works.

My book is never stamped! Admittedly I should have checked last years receipt instead of trusting the MyToyota app

no, I don't cover that sort of mileage. It's a 2020 with only 17,000 miles and the 5 year included warranty. It's the warranty that I am concerned about.

There won’t be any problems with these low miles . 👍

What service should the one that's due be? No clues on the paperwork as to which the previous service was but was £250, which I guess was the intermediate? As previously stated, no stamps in the service document, always been sercived by the main dealer.

I am guessing it's the full service, in which case, does anyone know the likely cost, no service plan.

edit .. £240, not £250. Also seen that the full service price is £370. Thanks all!

Going by age and mileage, you'd be due a major

You could always use a local garage and ask nicely to backdate service stamp😁

(independent) called back with a price .. over £100 more than the main dealer! Also, as it was a main service would need spark plugs, which would have cost even more.

Booked in with a main dealer for a service and a bargain price MOT, £45 instead of £54.

As to the warranty, I was told I currently don't have one but it will restart with the service.

How much?!! My local place charges £30 as of this year. It was £25 for many years prior. They don't need to charge a lot because they're flat out doing MOTs all day every day.

My dealer charges me £40. I probably could get it a few £s cheaper elsewhere but it's convenient to service & MOT together.

Local independent garage.

Due to cost and trust issues, the only time I've ever used a franchised dealer for MOT was one  particular year when I got a special offer from the local Ford dealer. I insisted on exercising my right to view ( I never bother with that at the usual place), which was something they clearly weren't comfortable with or used to. I had to stand very tightly cordened in to the corner of two walls and the tester threatened to fail the car unless I removed my air freshener from the mirror. I don't think they liked me, but the car passed, as I knew it ought to. 🤣

Anything hanging from the mirror is a fail but most of the time it ignored.
