Usually a wiper arm puller is needed. They're about £10 from Amazon

...or £5.15 on eBay.

Amongst car mechanics, there is a technique called "hit what it goes through."

The idea is to use vibration from the hammering to loosen parts that are bond together.

so:

  1. Remove the protection cap at the base of the wiper arm
  2. Remove the nut that secure the arm to the wiper motor
  3. Lift the base of the wiper arm upward (to give it upward releasing force)
  4. Tap the base of the wiper arm on the side with a small hammer. (Some penetration fluid or even WD40 wouldn't hurt)

If you did it right, after a couple of tap, the arm should release from the motor.

Still doesn't work?
