How cold does aircon get? Am I correct in thinking that the new gasses don't go as cold as previous ones. Don't get me wrong it cools the car down but never seems to get it freezing or am I expecting too much.

It's good enough on a 33C day to get down to below 15C. Comparatively chilly but not cold enough to preserve a body from decomposition on a 550 mile trip to dump it in a lake.

Set temperature to low recirculating mode off, auto mode off, ac on, air flow middle of dashboard, fan speed 3 , after two minutes the air flow should blow close to 4C°
If it’s 8-10 C° or more then it might need a service ( regas and oil).

More than cold enough for me, it’s also relatively quick to start to get cooler. I’m always surprised that we can get into the car after a summer walk on a hot day and literally with in the time it takes to get settled in and seat belt fixed the car is beginning to blow cooler air.
