Hi can I ask for some help. I have a Yaris 2017 vvti with a screen on my dash and i can connect and use bluetooth to play music and take calls.

I want to get Apple car play on the screen that’s already in the car.

I heard that you can use the AUX function to connect my iPhone ? Or do I need to buy a new screen and system. Any hack or experiences to share.  Thanks

I would be interested in this if it’s possible too. There are options for separate screens but they look silly imo and lots of cables running everywhere also.

The AUX channel connection on most audio systems is similar to a headphone socket. It only carries audio and in later versions some basic control info via extra wires.

Android Auto and Apple Carplay need a dedicated Data connection - USB or Apple Lightening connections. bluetooth is a data protocol but does not have enough capacity.

Sorry but for these reasons you need to look at other options.

No choice, only separate screen.
