Automiatic High / Low beam headlights

Hi,

Has anyone been using this successfully? I've tried a few times but didn't find that the headlights dipped quick enough when a car was coming towards me?

I haven't experimented for a while because of fear of dazzling the oncoming car.

Its not really worth the hassle on my 22MY C-HR, it seems to work a lot better on the missus 24MY Yaris Cross.

to be honest i never use them as the cars I've had with it fitted didn't dip quick enough

HEV - works perfectly; used regularly if not all the time

(They respond faster and more reliably than I do ... 😉 )

AHB is always on. It is quite responsive for my car.

Works amazingly well for me. Auto mode since I got the car. Only time I switch it off is in fog.

Hi, can I ask , are your Auto Front Lights Adaptive? So will adjust in various patterns to on coming traffic and when following other cars. I ask as I was considering a BZX4 Vision or Motion.

My previous car, RAV4 PHEV, was only Full beam or dip, and yes I did  find it very inconsistent. Maybe down to how clean it or should I say the sensors where.

Round where I live, not easy to keep them sparkling 🙂

My first Toyota, a Corolla, had automatic main beams and I found them just about okay. The Yaris Cross which I then got were a bit better, but in the C-HR I find them to be very responsive and rarely have to intervene.

yeah used them on the Corolla TS, worked perfectly most of the time, the very odd time they could flick on and off very quick if there was a space between oncoming traffic
