Multi-Information Display Issue - Auris Hybrid

Hi all,

One of the menu items on the Multi-option display has 'disappeared'!  The one that allows you display the Speedometer, and all other mileage related options.  I used this all the time to display current speed.  I rang my local Toyota Garage who offered the following advice.

"You've probably just pressed some buttons that has disabled this option.  Try Googling to see how to re-enable the option"!

Needless to say, I couldn't find anything online about this.

Attached is picture of Multi-Information Display menu, showing just the 6 menu options available, none of which include the Speedometer.  I'm guessing the whole unit is defective, but if anyone has any ideas, appreciate some feedback,

Thanks

Robbie

Have you tried scrolling side to side as well as up and down? Unlikely to be the unit faulty I would think

Thanks Geoff.

I didn't notice that in the first menu item, in which 'Energy Monitor' was displayed, there was also a vertical scrollbar that allowed me to switch to other options, including the Speedometer!

Appreciate the quick reply.

Not much help, but I can confirm that the speedometer is one down from the energy monitor....

Thanks Andrew.

Yes, that is helpful.  I didn't realise there was a vertical scroll bar on the first menu (which was displaying the energy monitor) and I had thought the speedometer was under another menu item that had disappeared!  I copped this yesterday when saxmaniac replied about scrolling side to side (which I was doing) as well as up and down (which I wasn't doing)!

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Regards

Robbie

This is just an FYI. You may know this already, but it took me weeks to realise it was there....

If you look at the digital speedometer and 'scroll right', you see the compass. But if you have the satnav calculating directions, and 'scroll right' from the speedo, you get a short-form of navigational aid - the 'turn left' / 'turn right' / 'straight on at the roundabout' arrow that normally resides at the bottom left side of the map on the central consol. It allows you to briefly glance down from the view through the windscreen to understand the direction you need to travel.
