I recently added a Battery charge cable with SAE plug to the Battery terminals so as to be able to attach either a smart charger or a solar panel to charge or top-up the Battery when left for a period of time.

The panel I chose was a 30w panel that will attach nicely to the glass roof with suckers. Not cheap but a good output. Amazon just under £60 (was on offer)

I took the lead I had fitted into the boot area.  I saw this on Amazon (£13) when I was buying the solar panel and it is plugged onto the SAE lead in the boot.  Someone complained in the product review that it has to be switched on and off and is not auto-on.  Manual switching is perfect for the use intended - battery check or charging something in the boot.
