How can I make louder the sound of locking the car on my Toyota cross 2024

I thank you very much

Not sure you can, but if you open and close the rear door before you open the drivers door for your journey, you will get 9 loud beeps when you get out and lock the car.

it's an annoying warning to tell you that you may have left your wife / husband / girlfriend / boyfriend / baby / dog / hamster / sheep in the car when you park.

On my 2021 YC, there's no bleep or sound of anything when I lock the car.  All I can hear, is the central locking activating.  If there is a sound option, I'd like to have it.

I suppose the dead giveaway that I've locked the car, is my mirrors auto fold and the MyT app will notify me if I have left any doors unlocked or windows open.

This beeping is when you deadlock (second press), standard single press locking doesn't cause the beeps.

I deadlock mine everywhere else other than when it's parked in my garage.

I've never heard any such beeps

This is only if you have the rear seat check turned on and you don’t hold ok when you turn the engine off. Might just be a my24 ‘feature’

The sound on lock/unlock default is off, the indicator flash is ON, it can be set with techstream or other scan tools

I do not have a screenshot of that setting but i can if needed

Bloody Techstream again !!  My local dealer hates people just going in for such changes !! Maybe we should all chip in and buy one for the Forum and just ship it to each other when needed.😄

£15-20 for a mini VCI, I'm sure the pay to play app's will also do it

Yes, members mentioned Carista, but when this last came up, no one really answered my few questions about it, as to whether or not it's totally reliable, compatible, ongoing membership cost, which one to get etc and did any forum member actually own and use one !!

Cheaper of the 2 Carista dongles is around £40. Subscription to the software is expensive but free if you cancel before completion of 1 month (also you can subscribe for £9.99 for a month if you need to make a few settings adjustments in future). Been reliable/compatible.

I think the last time I spoke about this, I asked if anyone had one that I could borrow.  I'd be happy to pay p&p both ways.

I reckon I would use this once and never again !!

It goes off on my24 to tell you to check rear seats. Calistra doesn't have the setting as far as I'm aware, it's a dealer toggle.  But if you disable with techstream you get a warning light on the dash instead so I had the dealer leave it enabled.
