Dpf full P244B and P2463

Had this fault code spring up after going into limp mode the other day. Ordered Dpf spray cleaner which has yet to arrive but was wondering whether it might be connected to a blocked 5th injector/vaporizer?. Fuel economy is 43mpg (all short trips) and there is no smoke though can smell burnt diesel fumes in the exhaust like my old B5 Passat does. Ran it up on idle for 90 mins but no sign of a regen happening. Has anyone come across this?. Unfortunately it has been used during the past 9 months for short runs of 15 min duration so it’s no wonder we have a problem.

I don't know if this helps or not but on a kia rpm will need to be 1500 for a regen to kick in. Idle won't work with it unless perhaps it is a dealer forced regen...

Just do add that the car is an XA40 engine code 1AD-FTV. I can’t find much on the web probably due to their good reliability but was wondering whether the Dpf can be removed from above rather than having to remove the steering rack and dropping it down. It’s tight in there with the Dpf resting close to the bulkhead. I am probably going to have to clean it off the car to do a proper job but for now will update after I’ve used some cleaner inserted via the pressure sensor port and tested for split vacuum hoses.

Update: After using the Simply brand of dpf cleaner stuffed into the Dpf via the differential pressure port, along with LiquiMoly Dpf protector added to the fuel I was hoping for a resolution but fault code reappeared straight after clearing it. Saw on you tube that disconnecting the Battery negative for 15 mins might effect a cure. Was sceptical at first but it worked; fault codes and limp mode absent though ‘Dpf full’ message was still present on the dash. Took it for a drive at 2-3000 revs and noticed that the auto start stop was not working which was a probable indication that the car was performing a regen. ‘Dpf full’ went out shortly afterwards and all is well. All I’ve got to do now is keep a close eye on soot levels using Techstream when it arrives. Hope this helps someone else in this potentially ruinous situation.
