I spoke to a blokey my way on Tuesday with a turbo, and he said his mate forked out the 1100+ replacement bolt on kit, had it fitted, and found the door ' swayed ' side to side when fully up. Because thedoor is only mounted on that piddly littlehinge, it doesn't really have much rigidity toit, therefore swaying. AND, ALSO, he said that he has heard that some MOT centres can fail your car just for having them fitted!!! SO there you go!!

there are cheap kits from 500-750 quid and yes they are CHEAP! and generally pants

but there are also proper kits which are about 2 grand (!) but they use twin hinges, twin gas struts and have a reinforced lower custom made a-panel

I think I'm gonna look into making a set cos this lot sound either way too cheap and wobbly or way too expensive.

You need to fit some big gas lifters to get the doors up tho.
