Does anyone know if Yaris 2014 drivers seat can go in the Yaris 2019?

Believe they are all in the MK3 era so I think it depends if the bolt positions have moved. Of course airbag connectors as well.

ive looked on eBay and surprised that the seats are selling for around 160GBP seems high for such a high volume unit that must be coming up regularly as scrap yards.

(I’ve worked out that the bolsters are much less steep and sever in the 2014 than in the 2019.)

(i did as similar change to this with a Micra K12. 2003 seat in a 2008 and everything was fine. I am new to Toyota)

the question is why, the chassis and floor pan are the same  2012 -2020 wiring and airbags are different on the 2nd facelift cars (17-20)

as for seats, it depends on the model you have and what they are coming from seats are much of a muchness 2014-2020 icon and icon tech gets the basic seats (flat, very little bolster) higher end get the "sportier" seats then you have the later GR sport interior whats different again

The Excel and GR sport have bigger side bolsters giving extra support, it may be an issue if you have a larger frame

Toyota parts in general command a higher used price especially if it's under 10 years old

I find the bolsters too big. It’s an 2019 MK3 Icon so not a sporty or high spec particularly.

there isn't much difference tbh between years (14-20) the icon is the base spec - is it the lower or back bolsters, the mk 3 seat base does angle back a bit, and can make longer journeys a bit hard on the lower back

The bolsters on the base where my hand is..

As you slide the seat back it does drop the seat down, side the seat forward and raise the seat with the lever then slide it back adjust the back forwards then adjust it back to suit

being an icon, it may not have the reach and height adjustment on the wheel

A wedge cushion may help

eg.

I appreciate the replies. Seat adjustments don’t reduce the intrusion of the bolsters. The seat base is essentially a U shaped valley in this model.

thanks for the suggestion of a wedge cushion. That’s my approach currently.

i think a better solution will be to get an upholsterer to reduce the bolsters on the seat base. Might be tricky and expensive but should address the issue once and for all. Will try that once I’ve exhausted the wedge cushion and related ideas

The seat slopes to the back, a wedge brings you up and forward, it took me an age to get the seat right in the mk 3

if it's just the bolster getting in and out, put a cloth over it and put something heavy on it overnight
