Hello

Just Bought a 2011 Toyota Aygo. Remote key didn’t work. Replaced Battery. Now car keeps locking and unlocking itself. Wondered if circuit board micro switches were faulty so replaced them. Didn’t help. Even tried with micro switches unsoldered. Soon as I put Battery in key the car keeps randomly locking and unlocking.

central locking works fine using manual key.

so what are my next steps?

I also had problems with my 2012 Aygo remote key fob where the Battery will be flat in 14 - 21 days.  To resolve this, I had a stock pile of lithium 2016 Battery in the drawer ready to replace the Battery every 2 - 3 weeks.

Anyway, you might want to contact Key Fob Repair Services and see what they says.  Over the years, I saw several adverts that can resolve the flat battery issue (going into electronic circuit repair).  However, I drove my car everyday so it's not like the remote can take 3 - 14 days holiday.

However, in your case, is not like a 3 - 14 days holiday would make a difference...

get a new remote PCB but remember the chip (transponder)

all the PCB does is the remote locking which is user-programable, and the immobiliser is a passive chip

you can still use the car without the PCB

there is a number on the PCB either 73373067C or similar, stick this number into eBay, it's a common Peugoet/Citroen (PSA) part

Thanks for your reply. Only seem to be able to find used PCB which could be a problem programming?
