Touch 2 Go - Update for £35!

I wanted to update my Prius as it was showing very old software and maps back to 2017.  Toyota was asking £119 via the e-store for the update 

I managed to buy exactly the same thing for £35 from eBay

Simple procedure to do although I was very apprehensive just in case it messed up the whole system 

Firstly I prepared a 16gb USB stick; everyone tells you that you can’t format properly to FAT32 using an Apple Mac, well I had no problem using Disk Utility>MSDOS (FAT32)>Master Boot Record

Used the link supplied by the eBay seller to download the .zip file, unzipped it and saved to the USB stick.  Plugged it into the cars USB then switched the car on and within a few minutes it came up asking if I wanted to update and was given the choice of what country maps I wanted to upload 

So I now have a completely updated system for just £35… bargain!
