TPMS after tyre change

Have had my tyres changed. Dashboard showed no issues leaving place then after 5 miles, amber light started flashing and now permanently on.

Checked tyres and put them back to my normal pressures - 35psi and pressed set button in glove box.

Light is still coming on - any suggestions please?

Did the tyre place touch or change the TPMS sensors?

Did you press and hold the reset button until the tpms light blinked 3 times?

Possibly clutching at straws, but did you let it stand for an hour before you adjusted your pressures? Best to set them cold. Keep checking and make sure you don't have a genuine air loss; it can happen after a tyre change if there's a bit of corrosion on the back of the rim preventing a good seal.

Hi

Thank you for your suggestions.

To summarise

I have waited a while since coming back (3 hours), double checked the tyre pressures and they are correct at 35psi - no air loss.

I honestly do not know if the Tyre place damaged any of the TPMS sensors (I am assuming these are inside the tyre valves? Can someone confirm where the TPMS sensors are.

When I start the car the yellow light flashes several times then goes permanent.  I restarted the car and held reset button (assume you press centrally) for several seconds and light continues to flash.

I think I am going to take it back to tyre place tomorrow unless better suggestions.

Thanks

Tpms sensors are inside the rim. If they have an autel or toyota techstream, they should be able to identify a faulty tpms sensor.

However they may need to play around with wheels and distance from car to identify which one is actually faulty.

If you do have to replace a sensor buy original, not a pattern part. Apparently, pattern parts are often flaky causing unnecessary warnings every few months.

Does some needs to be driven for a bit after doing the reset?

You can use Carista App with any fully capable ELM327 OBD2 scanner. https://priusapp.com/obd.html

You should be able to detect the sensors serials number if all of them are detected. If you know the numbers, you can also program it with Carista. You have 15 days trial Carista app.

But for now, you should go back to the tire shops. it does not need to be reprogram if you only change the tires.

It is very possible that they wack the sensors and make them broken. I changed tires 2x and never need reprogramming. Only if you have completely separate sets (winter and summer) then you need to reset it. 2015 or newer can take 2 sets, older Auris need to reprogram everytime we change the sets.
