Sound deadening in the doors makes a big difference, still want to do the rear arches and tailgate on the Yaris

maybe experiment with the high density foam sheets

I don’t know about Yaris and Yaris cross but Aygo X 24 model was super quiet even on motorway and the only noise intrusion was from the seat belt area, B pillar at speed of 40mph or higher.
In comparison to Corolla or my Auris this aygo seems quieter and very well insulated. The doors does close with horrible metallic rattling but that’s means nothing when you drive the car. If someone can find the real reason why these cars let noise in through b pillars and stop that it will be such a relief. But even without any interventions these cars Aygo x aren’t bad at all. It’s all from the roads in uk and tyres / pressure.

@TonyHSD I have never been bothered by the noise in any of my previous cars which includes 2 Aygos and 4 Yaris (one of each generation but none were hybrids). The Yaris Cross is the noisiest car i have ever owned by a country mile....except for my Caterham.
