Alternator Problem

I have an imported Hiace 200 2.0l petrol  with what I think is a noisy alternator that I want to replace. The only option I can find is through Toyota and very expensive. It seems i can find reasonabley priced replacements for a 2.7 engined Hiace. Does anyone know if that would fit my engine? Thanks.

Your alternator can be refurbished or exchanged.
