So, had my Aygo X a couple of weeks and have now mastered the preflight check.

Ignition on

Up 2 to settings, right 4, press Ok, down 2 settings (I always set speed display)

Top right steering wheel button hold a couple of seconds

Nagging speed limit warning now disabled and steering interferer with line nagging disabled.

Its now a car controlled by the driver. Its about 8 seconds to do the above once you get the hang of it.

Before anyone asks, yes it resets to on every time you turn ignition off and on. Love the car though, great fun to drive once the nagging modes are switched off.

Glad you are enjoying your new car, as am I second week in.

Having recently been caught speeding and attending a speed awareness course (I actually enjoyed it and found it informative after 20 years since I last had a speeding fine) I prefer to leave the speed warning on. I've not yet experienced steering interferance.

I have also now started leaving the auto stop/start on having disabled it until I got use to driving it.

The best bit, filling the tank up for £40 🙂

I would add 15-20 degrees of flaps, foot flat on the accelerator/brake and redline it before take off. 😁

Yes its great on fuel. I am getting about 60 indicated not even trying. The steering interference is gentle when you cross a line and it beeps at you. Annoying in town just moving around parked cars. Its probably ok out of town. I am not a fan of the lane centering with cruise control on, its clever, just not sure I like/need it.

This engine needs a VERY long runway....

The aircraft references remind me of the air taxis that we used to use in 1981.

Only bricklayers and joiners going to build sports and squash centres in Denmark, slagese and Viborg, not international spies or anything exciting.

We travelled from what was then kirmington airfield, later to become Humberside airport.

On one of the trips out to Denmark,we did indeed need all of the runway, due mainly to the chests of joiners tools and all our tools and luggage, I think the pilot was a bit concerned.

Can't remember the make or model of aircraft, there were a few different ones ranging from 6 seaters ( that seemed like a mini van) to 12 or so seaters.

The cabin service was a cool box with danish open sandwiches and a flask of coffee, help yourself type thing.

So,choks away Aygos,fly like wind.
