AI (Artificial Intelligence) in Cars

Hi all, I wanted to ask this question to anyone and everyone who has an interest in cars, especially as it's quite a thought provoking topic.

What are people's opinions on AI being used in the automotive industry? Whether it's for self driving needs or for safety features, such as AI and GPS being used to enforce speed limits (and for example, weather conditions determining the maximum distance between each car to prevent accidents.)

How do you feel about it? Do you think the roads will be safer? Should we implement these features into our means of transport, give up some human control and put it into the hands of AI?
