Had a service yesterday, may or may not be relevant. Driving today, the low tyre pressure lamp came on, didn't notice whether it was on after the service. Checked the pressures in all tyres and they were far lower than I keep them, 33 front and 30 back, as per door pillar sticker. Re-inflated the tyres, then had to reset the alarm. The owners manual, the hard copy version that came with the car, seemed to be the obvious place to start but under the index, no mention of tyres .. useful!

Next tried google, was told to hold the TPMS reset button which is usually located on the dashboard, under the steering wheel, or near the drivers side panel... Nope!

Then found the correct instructions. So easy now I thought, WRONG! I guess it's an 'age thing' but I had the instructions on my phone .. it was a matter of timing, the phone either turned itself off or the options on the car disappeared .. why do they time out so quickly?

Anyway, eventually fixed it .. I think! I have the 2020 version so no way of telling which tyre set the alarm off, the one the lowest from the pressure it should be I guess.

Moral of the story .. don't get old or have a very good memory.

The sticker is on the car, iirc it's in the glovebox on the Yaris, it's on one of the B pillars on the Corolla

It was the reset procedure that the OP was struggling with, I think. He's right, it's a beggar to find, not helped by the Americanised spelling of 'tyre' as 'tire' and the common acronym 'TPMS' is not mentioned once.

The trick is to search for 'TPWS' because they call it a 'warning' system rather than monitoring. And of course, always use the searchable PDF manual rather than the paper book. Attempting to navigate the latter will only end in tears of frustration! 🤣
