Software Update

I have just pulled up at my son's house in Huddersfield whilst waiting for him.  I checked for a software update, there was an over the air update  available. This is the first OTA since I purchased the car in March. When I've tried it previously it just came up with an error saying "consult your dealer" I can't remember the exact wording but it stated, system stability improvements, voice recognition imrovements and navigation improvements. The update suggest 25 minutes to complete. Currently at 23 minutes. Now completed ok

Note when I first checked for update is said none available but after 20 seconds it came up

Out of interest what model C-HR and when was it first registered 🤔

I’m awaiting the Multimedia System Reprogramming ZGG61 Campaign update for my August registered C-HR which is a dealer applied update.

2024 C-HR 1.8 Excel, registered March this year.The update as far as I remember started with ZG but I didn't take note of it before the update. The photo I uploaded was a shot of the update history after it had completed.

ZGG61 is now rolling out OTA so the car may detect and complete its own update. ZGG61 Updates HU to 2200 VE & VD to 2050 if your versions are lower then the head unit will try & update if = or higher then nothing will happen

I was advised of this by my dealer earlier this week (covered in a separate thread). There has been some confusion over this as some owners have had it applied at their dealers (via multiple USB sticks and taking several hours to update), to a dealer only update (I wasted a trip to my local dealer to be told only after booking my car in on the day that it couldn’t be done and Toyota were migrating the data to an internal system) and now it’s an OTA update. My car is still showing the same software/maps so presumably it hasn’t been applied yet and I’m still getting pop-ups saying go to the dealer for map updates  🤷‍♂️

Received email confirmation today from Toyota CS that the update willindeed be delivered OTA 📡
