Advice on using my new CTEK MXS 5.0 Charger

I'm at the bottom of the learning curve with much of this subject and I appreciate your help.

Under ' How to Charge ' options I assume I select  ' Normal Battery progrm ' but do I select ' AGM ' option. I had no knowledge about the AGM Battery until 10 mins ago. I visited the Varta site and cannot trace my Battery, model number 345 LN1-MF. The car is a 2022 1.8 Corolla H/B and the battery is in the engine compartment.

Maybe the charger 'recognises' the battery type and selects AGM, huh ?

Hi, 

That's a standard 'flooded' Battery, not an AGM.

Thanks Nick, how did you find out ? I couldn't find that Battery anywhere.

By taking the Battery out and shaking it 😉😂

OK, not quite shaking it, but my Corolla had that same part number Battery and when I removed it I noticed that if I tilted the Battery carefully from side to side I could hear it was clearly full of liquid electrolyte inside. If it had been an AGM that wouldn't have been the case.

Not quite, I replaced the Battery on my Corolla a while ago with a slightly larger capacity one. I still have the old one in the garage 😊
