Android auto query

I've recently started using AA. Mainly for Waze navigation.

My question is can you display what radio station you're listening to in AA?

I only seem to get random news stations I've never listened to come up, this morning I was listening to an American one. Only small snippets too, like loops of the same 1-2 minutes.

I can obviously select the DAB then go on to AA, I can change channels but apart from a brief notification at the top of the screen I can't seem to work out if I can show it in AA as I know you can do 50/50 media and map split on  the screen.

On the screen bottom right there is 4 horizontal lines click that and the screen splits. on android auto . download a radio app and it show from your phone to the App screen on android auto .

Rayo does a App from the playstore  which will let you listen on the AA screen

try tunein radio app on your phone. tick in settings to start it automaticly when AA is connected

I've tried Tunein, didn't quite click with it. For some reason I couldn't get it to go through my favourite channels properly. Using the steering controls it would go 1>2>3 etc, but not 3>2>1. It just got to the last favourite and stuck there. Even using the advance button wouldn't make it return to 1 again.

I kept having to go out and back in to get to favourite 1 again. Unless it was user error.

I'll try the Rayo one.

I pop out of Android Auto by pressing on the car multimedia screen:

• the 'window frame' icon in the bottom right hand corner twice
• the Toyota icon which then brings up the widely spaced icons down the left hand side 

There is a black icon which is for Exit but I only see this on my phone within the 'customise launcher' settings of Android Auto and not on the car screen.

it has this bug, its a bit annoying. i use display to change stations. let me know if you find an app that works properly

Can you use the dashboard display to show the radio station? One of the screens shows it, but maybe not when AA is on?
