I'm the owner of a 74 plate Aygo X.  Ever since I picked it up a couple of weeks ago  I've had problems with AA.  I've finally managed to get it to connect using an adapter on an old USB cable.  However it never connects over Wi-Fi.  Had a look at my phone and my phone can see the Toyota Multimedia Wi-Fi but when I try to connect it wants a password.  The local dealer suggested 2 passwords but said they had never come across the problem.  Unfortunately neither one works, but it tries to connect once there are at least 7 digits/characters.  Can anyone put me out if my misery and let me know the one know the password for the Wi-Fi or let me know where I could find it please?  Thanks

Does your model definitely have wireless AA?

It's a Pure. I've just checked the spec and it says Multimedia system with wireless smart phone integration

AA works by bluetooth - not via WiFi.

Use the android auto app on your phone to see if it is available wireless. And use that to connect it to your Car, if you have not already established a bluetooth connection.

My 2023 Aygo X Edge, only has wired AA - when i go into my AA app on my phone it tells me to connect to the car via a Cable.

Yes its only the exclusive that has wireless AA. I bought an adaptor that goes in the USB slot to do that same job.

bluetooth doesn't have the bandwidth for AA/ACP it uses bluetooth to establish a secured wifi connection (no ssid)

Toyota Multimedia Wi-Fi - this is the default In-car hotspot

IIRC you should be able to go into settings, wifi, either generate or set/view the wifi password

*** The 2024 Aygo x now has the 9" touch3, higher spec models get the New 10.5" Smart Connect both have USB-C

Connect the phone via bluetooth and then just allow permission. Both bluetooth and WiFi have to be active on the phone

Pre 24 my this is correct. If the car has a stereo without the physical buttons and a knob on both sides of the screen then wireless AA & ACP are available.

The dealer who I bought the car off (not the local one) has been in touch as he's trying to sort it out, has confirmed the 74 plate model does have wifi.  I'll update this post if I ever get connected 🙂
