DAB radio

We live in an area with very poor DAB radio signal. When I’m driving 20 miles home I might lose the signal 20 or 30 times which is frustrating and pretty poor. On our older CHR we can change from DAB to FM and AM, but I can’t seem to do this on our new model. Does anyone know if it’s  now possible to get FM as it only seems to give me the DAB option

If you are only showing DAB options and you can't find FM or AM, you can try and go into the audio settings on your infotainment system. Sometimes FM and AM options might be hidden or need to be turned on. Look for a source or media button on the dashboard or touchscreen. This should let you switch between DAB, FM, and AM.

It's worth a look in your owner's manual as it should have instructions for accessing the different radio modes.Look in the audio section. 👍

Thanks all. There is a separate source button which I hadn’t see before. It allows me to get FM radio, but not AM. Great help though. Cheers

I don't think my last three Toyotas, including the current one, have had AM.

I’ve experienced poor DAB reception in my new C-HR at several locations recently and it noticeably drops out on many more occasions than my previous VW did on the same journeys. Yesterday however we used my wife’s Aygo to travel up to a funeral in Northumberland and it was just as bad, dropping out at the same locations and possibly even more than the C-HR.

I haven’t experienced this previously and I’m wondering if it’s the DAB broadcast antennas - I’ve done an online search using postcode addresses along the route and most sites display no problems with good signals for BBC radio channels butt as I usually listen to Greatest Hits Radio (usually GHR NE), that’s not much use in reality 🤔
