Steering locks

Does anyone know the best steering lock for a Yaris Cross, 2022. Have tried all different the different versions of Stoplock steering locks and they don’t work! What about the Milencio steering lock? Any advice?

I have a Milenco, as the others just don't fit.*

Early days, but it's an easier one to use then the Stoplok, or the over-the-steering wheel variety

It's also "Sold secure", whichI don't believe the Stoplok is (happy to be proved wrong...)

* they also do a "commercial/SUV variety", which has a longer bar, if that's what you want

Do you live or frequent rough areas ? Just can't see someone stealing a YC 😄

Its just a deterrent for the casual yob who might have a go at nicking it for a laugh then real thieves as they steal to order and a lock wont stop them. Personally for £30 it cost me it is a little peace of mind if I do park somewhere a little suss that if mine has one and the Yaris/other car next to mine does not, hopefully that one will get nicked first 🙂

Still, given people have cut off resonators thinking they were catalysts, there'll probably be some idiot who can't tell the difference between a RAV4 and a Yaris Cross, so no harm in adding a bit of visible deterrent!

I just park near Fiestas and BMWs

Spare wheel kit or all season tyres along with rubber mats I can understand people wanting one, but steering wheel locks, cameras, body wraps, specialist paint protections , side steps, seat covers, extra sound insulation and all relevant adds on the only real benefit of all these is a profit for those who made and supply them. Often these unnecessary items cause more damage than help and they also add extra mental burden, quite opposite to what car owners think - for peace of mind.
The best peace of mind is not to think too much.
Just enjoy your car responsibly, maintain on time, do not add unnecessary accessories and do not try to fix something that it’s not broken.
Your car will serve you well and for longest time. 👍

No one is stealing Yaris Cross - I've seen reports of one having the front end panels stolen in Birmingham IIRC.

Just keep your keyless fobs safe or switch them off.

Steering locks also a waste of time, professional thieves will have these off in seconds no matter what Thatcham award rating it has.

Agreed, steering wheel lock are not needed for this car, such an inconvenience with it. Maybe for those cars with the Can bus vulnerability.

I purchased this Tevlaphee Steering wheel lock which fits my 2022 Yaris Cross design. It fits above the steering wheel boss not over it and easy to fit/remove, if you have the key. If not it will certainly deter a thief for quite a long time which is all you can hope to do. Amazon at £37 at the moment.    You get three keys    very good ones as far as I can see.        Tevlaphee Steering Wheel Lock For Cars,Car Steering Wheel Lock,Vehicle Anti-Theft Lock,Adjustable Double Hook Universal Fi...

They may be good keys but the thieves would be quicker opening it with a drill.

I don’t tend to bother accept for a long stay when I feel having something visual is a bonus. I then parked next to cars which don’t have anything.
