Taylor Swift Security in the UK.

According to today’s news, Taylor Swift has asked for security similar to that which is given to royalty and high level dignitaries, apparently prompted by her mother, and likely to be at the taxpayers’ expense.  Complementary tickets have been mentioned, and so has Sadie Khan in connection with this.  I understand that this service has been refused to Prince Harry (he is, after all, the King’s son), so what is so special about Taylor Swift?  She is reputed to be a billionaire, so could - and definitely should - pay for any security protection that is given.

Well, after Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper pressured the police into giving Taylor Swift a police escort, he and his family received free tickets to her concert. Regardless of his later decision to pay back the ticket price, it raises questions about the true intentions behind the facade.

My question is, despite all the discussion about him repaying Lord Alli for his clothes and other expenses, how can anyone be sure that he actually did?🤔

Gets worse day by day, doesn’t it Bob?  I was wondering, are these gifts taxed?

As the saying goes...

There's no such thing as a free lunch.

And for Taylor Swift - if she's that "scared" then I'm afraid that's her problem. If she feels that she needs some extra/additional protection above and beyond what is in place for everyone at her event then she can pay for it unless the security forces have appropriate evidence/intelligence to the contrary.

Institutionally corrupt - this amounts to Misconduct in a Public Office but as usual, they act as untouchable 😡

It’s amazing how politicians, before elections, will say anything to get elected, yet once in power, they fail to deliver on their manifesto pledges. Every change of government brings the same routine blaming the previous administration for the country's problems.

Despite all the rhetoric about having a 'fully costed plan' and being 'ready for government,' what do we get? The same old story, and from the way things are going, it’s likely to be even worse. You’d think they’d be embarrassed when their past promises are played back to them, but instead, they just avoid answering the question.Surely there must be a better way for this country to be governed. The attraction of fame and money seems to be a political necessity.😡

Has it been decided yet whether Taylor Swift will, or will not, get this security protection that she is requesting?  These music festivals are not exactly necessary for the support of life.  I have never attended one but, from what I have seen on TV clips, most of the audience see very little of the performers and large TV screens are installed for the viewing the acts.  In reality, you can get a better view and audio quality by watching on TV, and in more comfort and safety.  The only down side is that the performers and promoters don’t get their eye-watering finances.

Interesting this, the supposed risk would almost certainly not be against Taylor Swift, but to the audience as happened in Manchester, so maybe it was they who needs the police protection.

Well, they should do it because it's our taxpayers' money, not Keir Starmer's personal quest to associate with famous people. He puts pressure on the police to provide her with an escort, and in return, he receives £6,000 worth of free tickets. If she was that concerned, she could have been dropped off in a helicopter. Failing that bill her for the police escort. And swiftly.

As with many things, the actual truth of who did what and who said what and who "suggested" to who shall be shrouded in mystery, smoke and mirrors...... until there are memoirs to write and sell 😂
