17's

Just out of curiosity wouldn't 17x7 alloys with 195/40/R17 tyres be the same width and diameter as 16x7 alloys with 195/45/R16 tyres.

Now I've been told that the 16inch combo wouldn't rub with, even with a 30mm drop. So surely the 17's wouldn't rub either???

Cheers,

Ok, so you guys rekon go for the 16x7 (or do i need 16x6.5?). It's probably the best option...

Cheers dudes!

16s would be the cheaper option me thinks, but not quite sure if you will have rubbing if your car is full!! But you'l be ok if your car dont get stuffed with ppl like mine <_<

Nah,

There is tonnes of clearance under the arches. 3cm won't hurt :) 16's it is then! Those 17 inch tyres are way too expensive £83 each.

later!

personally if you getting wider rims then exploit it! and get wider tyres

your only gonna get the looks and possibly loose grip using 195's on 17's

but with a 40 profile theyll be like laggy bands :D

also youll find the rim prodrdes alot and will be munch up by the tarmac in no time

Yer, too much hassle tho with 17's.

I should be able to get away with 16x7's and 195's with a 30mm drop. Hopefully there will be no rubbing!!

Now! What about springs. Just go for the toyota sport ones? TTE? How much and where from? :)
