Need help

I was driving my car stopped at a stop sign and when I went it was like the tires slipped. Now when I put it in park it revs just fine when I put it in Drive I just hear a grinding sound really bad when I put it in reverse I hear a grinding sound really bad and it won't move what could be the problem

Sounds like a major failure in your auto gearbox.

That would be my first guess too

Possibly a drive shaft???? If one goes I guess the car won't go anywhere.
