Turn signals and hazard lights are not working

Hi,

On my Toyota Avensis, my turn signals and hazard lights are not working. Have been by my mechanic after a check, he said it's not the relais nor the fuse. It's an electrical problem. Has someone came across such problem with is car? And how did he solved it. Thank you for your attention.
