What's if it's there just for the WLTP result and not the Euro emission standards? 🙂

Same applies.  It should stay on.

A lot of channels do this. Google's advertising algorithms and other Ts & Cs  get updated quite often and it's not uncommon for a channel to suddenly have reduced or no income for a time (until they can adapt - if they can). Sponsoring, and Patreon or other subscriptions, is a way to buffer against that uncertainty.

And of course some channels eventually just burn through everything worth saying about a subject and have to get 'ideas' from other sources. That's especially true of ones that have a regular date for uploading a video - typically weekly. Tom Scott pretty much did that, but at least he admitted and accepted it - sort of - and basically shut the channel down for new content.

Yeah, you do notice the change when it stops being just for fun/hobby and switches to being an income source...

So as he states where i have started the video below if you live on a small island where the engine rarely gets up to temperature you may have issues the rest of us who drive fairly often, fairly far or leave our cars in ready mode to charge the battery are not going to have oil related issues as our engines will reach working temperature often enough to get rid of the moisture, move along nothing to see here  😉

Actually if you keep the car in ready mode no matter how long, the engine will never reach optimal working temperature with hvac on or off because the engine never works continuously but on and off every few minutes.
The ready mode is helpful for the 12v Battery and a complete disaster for the engine itself.
Keeping in ready mode often and for longer on regular basis for charging your Battery or for heating purposes will bring a risk of engine starting to burn oil after some miles and years.
Similar to if you start the car and leave it idling for too long before driving off.
The reason here is that when the engine is relatively cold the fuel mixture is rich and this leads to more fuel enter into the oil via the piston rings creating harmful blow by.
With the time this process will glaze your cylinder walls and the piston rings will not be able to scrap oil down and let it pass into combustion chambers.
The best practice on cold start is wait 30 seconds after initial start up and then drive away avoiding harsh acceleration but keep on moving so the engine gets loaded and warm up itself faster.
In non hybrid cars avoid unnecessarily idling and in hybrids keep hvac system always on so engine runs longer to provide heat and to remain at temperature closer to normal 90C°.
At the end the cars are made to serve us so no one ever really needs to worry so much about everything above and use your car as you need. Just maintain according to your use and your car will serve you well.

My daily commute is less than 10 minutes and once a week i travel 8 miles  to the next town to go to the supermarket i have had no mayonnaise in my oil filler cap in any car i have owned it really isn't an issue.

I am not suggesting you should use ready mode all the time to keep your oil mayonnaise free  but if you are going to drive so infrequently its going to become a problem you are also going to have problems with the 12v Battery so using ready mode will help the Battery and will get some heat into the engine if you leave air-con on, the bottom line again if you don't drive often or far don't buy a hybrid.

"Mayo" is water in oil, not fuel.

I know this is about oil -

Yeah, just wanted to let you know that checking for "mayo" won't determine the oil contamination with the fuel.

Just take the stupid 'scenic' route home from your shopping and it'll be fine! :naughty:  (Unless you have frozen stuff like ice cream!  Although maybe then you just need to go faster :naughty: )
