Toyota Corolla Verso, 2008, 1.8 - No beep when reversing

Hi,

I don't hear the beep sound when  I am reversing. I have checked the on/off button in the boot which is linked to the reverse wires, but it still doesn't beep.

 

Can anyone assist?

Hi! I recently fixed this on mine. If you turn on the electrics without starting the engine, two presses on the button without the clutch down, you can test if the sensors at the back are working. I just put my finger on them and could feel a kind of sparking sensation, so I knew mine were working.

I figured it was the piezo/speaker, so I found mine - it was on the right hand side of the boot hidden above the wheel arch, which could be accessed by pulling off the small hatch. 
 

I cut the wires to it and replaced it with a cheap piezo beeper from Temu, about 3 quid. I attached that with some easily fitted wire junctions. Took 5 mins. 

Works perfectly now!
