I want to sell my European Yaris hybrid, but I don’t know how to advertise it. I don't have lots of details, having bought it used from a dealer in Portugal who spoke no English.

It was produced in November 2020, but I think it's 4th generation. Do the photos help?

I see Yarises advertised with terms like 90CV-3P or 115CV-5P or 100CV-5P, etc. How do I figure out which I am?

Thanks for any help!

The 4th generation Yaris looks like:

Yours looks like a late 3rd generation.

well it's a 1.5 hybrid, LHD, 2nd facelift, 8X2 Blue, 100CV-5P

can you PM me the VIN and I can pull the info for you (production ended 06/2020)

you are best off selling it in a LHD country

edit. had a look at the specs for Portugal, bulb type DRL's and no fog lights makes it a Hybrid Live or Hybrid Active, spec

Edit 2. Looking at the front grille and seats they only come on the Hybrid Active with no fog lights

Isn’t the VIN shown in the second photo (VNKK etc.) ?

It's missing the last 4 digits, so 9999+ potential combinations (a VIN is 17 digits)

Hmm. The dealer said the car was produced Nov 13 2020, substantially after that date.

Do you have a "We buy any car.com" or Auto Trader in Portugal or maybe a car dealership would make you an offer

Could be "first registration date", i.e. it was a Mk3 that had been in stock and was still there after the Mk4 was released. Official docs will probably show this - it would be on a UK registration document for example.

Not unusual, it would have been on-offer at a reduced price, I expect, to clear old stock.

talked with the OP and that is the conclusion I had come to Nov being the first registration, the build date is 02/2020 so just before the world went mad and everything ground to a halt

if the car is/was in the UK with UK registration the dates will be different (you get 6 months to register the car once it's in the UK)

Yes, it turns out to have been a language problem. The date is "first registered", not the production date.
