What's the motor in, MR2 or Corrolla?

Best starter mods would be an induction kit/cone filter on the throttle body with a cold air feed and a less restrictive exhaust. These are the nice cheap (relatively) mods, probably get 8ish BHP from them.

After that you can go to larger capacity injectors and/or chipping (just increases amount of fuel dumped in the engine).

The best way to get better performace though is to reduce the weight of the car.
