Hi everyone. We recently bought a new (to us) 2019/20 Yaris Y20. When pressing the navigate button on the radio the display says Satnav is not installed. Now, the car does have an indicator to show the current maximum road speed limit so I am guessing it must have some kind of Satnav device somewhere for that function? Will I have to add to / change the radio altogether to be able to use Satnav? Thanks in advance for any help. Steve

I had a Yaris that didn't have a satnav module fitted and it was very expensive to retro-fit.  I used Apple Maps / Google Maps instead. The speed limit is caught by the camera and not connected to the satnav.

I added a wireless Airplay module which worked fine.

Hi! Thanks for the speedy reply! I am not 100% sure what you mean in terms of adding a module? We use android I am assuming that would be the same? Again thank you so much Steve

Or on the other hand you could possibly buy a sat nav device stick on windscreen and plug it into 12volt cig lighter socket.

Mk3 Yaris, the sat nav was an option (Touch2 and Go), its module that plugs into the radio

eg. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225973490269

the map updates can be expensive tho

Just a little more information. I don't see any menu options for Android Auto anywhere, just USB so maybe it doesn't have that either...😥

As mentioned, the sat nav is a plug in option fitted behind the radio, at manufacturing. It can be added but......

You may need to check with the dealer if AA via the USB will work (wired). If yes, then you could also add a fairly cheap USB wireless adapter for AA on the radio.

Thanks, it doesn't look promising but I will give it a go anyway.

Touch2 in the MK3 does not have AA/ACP, you can get add on AA/ACP modules, but a decent aftermarket radio isn't much more money and a lot more stable
