Help From Someone Near Me?

Hello kind people of the TOC!! (ok, i want somethin! :P )

I'm looking for a Gen6 Celica myself at the minute, but having been up close and personal (oo-er) with a couple of them, I have a bit of a doubt in my mind about getting the car...

I'm a drummer, and I need to fit a drum kit in it.

The vast majority of it will be fine, of this I am sure - the doubt that I have is that my Bass Drum won't fit in - either with the back seats dropped, in between the seat backs and the ceiling of the car, or alternatively, that the passenger seat isn't wide enough to pop the drum on there.

So, my question, is there anyone near me (Derby, and surrounding areas - I'll travel to you, no problem) that has literally 10 minutes spare for me to pop over and just try putting the drum in? Its all cased up, and won't leave any marks or anythin, and I will, of course, be exceptionally careful with your pride n joy!

Any help greatfully appriciated... I look forward to the replies!

Thanks all!

Ben

I would help but I dont have a Gen6

Try a local dealer and say you are looking to buy the car off them but you need to check something first. Before he can answer try jamming youre drumkit into the boot!!

Sadly, I've already burnt my bridges with the local dealers that have them by already letting them know I'm not actually interested in their cars. It was just before I left the last one that I realised I might have some problems. I guess I've just got to wait for another local dealer to get one in...

So you know, I have actually done this once already - I was originally looking for an MR2 MkII, again, with the Drum kit being the problem over me actually getting one... Ahhh, the dealer's face when I told him what I wanted to do... And surprisingly enough, it was only the Bass Drum that caused me problems, cos of the curve up to the roof along the side of the car, I could only do it with the T-bar off, and the window down. Not really the best situation, especially with the weather in this damn country...

*sigh* oh well... Thanks for the kind thought though Tom!

Well, if anyone knows anyone who can help, I'd be very grateful indeed! I don't want to have to resort to the worlds oddest car-jacking in order for me to try it!

Cheers y'all!
