2015 diesel verso 1600

I have only owned Toyota cars since passing my test in 1997 and currently have a verso 2015 with the BMW 1600 engine, (if I had known this when purchasing it, I would have most likely not have bought it). The car has just gone over 100000 miles and the timing chain has broken. It's serviced faithfully every year or when service light comes on, whichever comes first. Does anyone know if an Avensis engine would fit into it ? I would be most grateful for any advice thanks
