Uk 160mph Dials

i notice previously that bibbs is on about changing his actual original import speedo in favour of a uk 160mph one, and dumping his speedo converter in the process.

am i right in thinking that the actual speedo has some sort of drive in it that eliminates the need for a speedo converter from the car gearbox? ie simply go to a scrapyard - get a 160mph clock - plug it in - all correct and happy?

Yep that's about it. If it's a rev 1 it will be a cable drive and the rev 2+ are all electronic. I've got a UK 160mph speedo in my rev 4 tubby. You can then move the de-limiter to the boot next to the ECU where it will remove the limit but not screw everything else.
