I am not sure if this has been done before its not a stuck thread so apologies if it has - how and why did you start your EV journey with the bZ

I will start, I am Les based near Norwich, I had a near 5 year old Nissan Juke which had served me well and the toy in the Garage.  I originally went to the local Toyota dealer to Look at a CHR GR Plug-In and decided against it only because of the years of "luxury road tax" I liked the car itself and would have been very happy to buy one but the road tax was close to the 370z with the add on Tax -we only do short journeys and trips out, it dawned on me that EV was probably a good option, they had the car I bought in the dealer window, it had arrived a short while earlier.  I took another one out for a test drive [Vision AWD] and liked it, so ordered the one they had, and picked up the following Saturday.  Its a MY24 Motion.

I will be honest I never thought I would own a EV [its created a great deal of humour to a few friends and colleagues] and certainly not this soon, but very pleased with it, my first ever Toyota and the warranty was the big tick, have had a few Nissans and Hondas, so its the last of the set I guess.  So far very happy with it.  Still learning how everything works, fitted a CTEK fast connect cable to the 12V Battery for when I am not using it.  So far that's the only thing I have done.

Enjoy your new car and welcome to Toyota world 👌

I got mine because it was Toyota's first BEV.

I've owned three Celicas and two CHRs. All very reliable. I knew that the next car I wanted was a Toyota.

It's a bit big for my needs, but I don't regret my purchase for one minute.

Pretty much exactly that ... it is Toyota's only BEV. I've owned three RAV4s and the wife has a C-HR.

It's a bit big for my needs, but I don't regret my purchase. I've only had it a week - it works very well for local journeys; the jury is still out for longer road trips ... 😉

First time owning a Toyota and we got there through a process of elimination. I'm 6', my wife's 4'11" and we were downsizing to one car so needed something that would suit us both and carry our dog safely. And we wanted to go electric.

We were never going to buy a Tesla because of Musk so we tested the Hyundai IONIQ5, Kia EV6, Skoda Enyaq, Nissan Aria and of course the bZ4X.  The Toyota was the one that suited us best, felt natural to drive, was comfortable and the Vision model enabled us to have memory seats. Throw in room for the dog's cage in the back still leaving plenty of room in the boot and all our boxes were ticked.

We live on the Essex/Suffolk border and have been up as far as the Scottish borders so far with no issues or charging difficulties. To be honest we could't be happier with our choice.

Please send us exactly what ctek product you bought, where from and how did you connect it to the 12v Battery
