Car height (ground clearence) to be increased?

Our Auris is equipped with a towing hook which can be removed.
The mounting is rather low so we hit the street / ground quite often. Also during our last holiday - 2 persons & luggage, nothing exceptional - we hit the ground quite often especially on non- tarmac roads.

Our Toyota dealer says nothing wrong with the height of the Auris (rear wheels)

Nevertheless I am considering to add additional springs (common or air) to increase clearence.
Probably 12-20 mm will be sufficient without having to much effect on the steering geometry.

Anyone experience / recommendations?

You can do reservations online and particularly USA market for lift up kits. They definitely have for Prius as I have seen videos on YouTube they rise then around 30mm with spring mounts. This type is easy to install.
Car dynamics may change a bit but overheating you will achieve your goal.

Thanks for reply!

Found a set branch MAD with additionele springs which can be easily added (inserted/ mounted inside) the genuine springs. Does not look too complicated.

Seems to rise the rear of the car a little, probably just enough and stoffen the suspension when under load
