After 15 years of having the same faithful Prius, I bought a new car. I took a family member out for a spin and we discovered the "surprise and delight" feature of the side mirror puddle light logo projector! How cool is that! Apparently, some people are customising the light cartridge/template (?) to the Bat Signal. 🤣

Seriously though folks, what are your best suggestions as to what I should be doing this week. I know I need to report any faults to thd dealer in 5 days (it's under warranty, so hopefully there won't be any or will be easily sorted.)

Hi Zeshan, it's worth doing a full walk around to look over the outside for any tiny scratches, dents, or imperfections. Check all the doors, windows, mirrors, and lights, as well as the tyres and wheels. Even small issues are worth spotting now so the dealer can sort them out. Inspect the seats, dashboard, infotainment system, and make sure everything’s working as expected. Test the buttons, the A/C, USB ports.

I would try out all the tech and extras, from the backup camera and blind-spot monitoring to lane-keeping and parking assistance, if you have them, to make sure they’re working smoothly and are calibrated right. Then, take it out for a few different drives,on the motorway and in town so you can get a feel for handling in different conditions. If you can, take it out after dark to test the headlights, high beams etc. Read the warranty details and service schedule to know what’s covered and when it’s recommended to bring the car in for maintenance.

And more importantly enjoy your car👍
