Wind Deflectors...

Successful with the auto clover wind deflectors. Mainly put these on as a chrome delete as I hate chrome. Somewhat fiddly but mostly fine. Not perfectly symmetrical from one side to the other but not noticeable unless very close inspection. Two thing slightly annoying...

1. The front most part is too short by about 10mm and got the shape very slightly out. See pics. So if you start the line up at the edge of the door where you really want it aligned you can still see a patch of chrome at the end near the wing mirror. Not a big deal but I think they made their product slightly too short.

2. The rear part has to stick both on the chrome and on the window glass to fit. Given the depth difference and need to apply a small amount of bend to the part it's now under some permanent strain. Which you don't really want in engineering when things are bonded by adhesives. Perhaps I've got this wrong but this was the only way it would align neatly.

Arm rest...

Long drives and hard door arm rest. Sore elbos. Similar to the left knee on the hard centre console which I bought a custom fit leather pad for. I'm 6ft3 medium build. So it may just be my geometry causing all this.

Anyways, I've struggled to find something that would fit neatly given the flat surface of the arm rest is less than 6.5cm wide and than tapers narrowly heading backwards and where my right elbow ends up. Ordered a few that might fit and tried them out. Found a winner, a taper leatherette sponge pad. Raises up the height and it's nice and soft. Doesn't look too out of place. It's a perfect fit. See pics. Amazon from China so it took about 4 weeks to get here.

Hopefully this helps someone looking into the wind deflector chrome delete situation (thanks for all the advice previously) and an arm rest.

BTW, on the wind deflector, I tried lowering the whole thing to close the gap at the front, but that left a large gap at the top and didn't seem to align with where the remind aft parts sat most aesthetically speaking.

I'm probably overthinking it and seeking perfection. 😂
