Hi- Had my clutch 'professionally' replaced on my T270 estate 2.0 d4d (2012) last year after 200+k reliable miles completed . 20K miles later the clutch is almost fried . I was thinking of  replacing the clutch myself . I'm a reasonably competent DIYer with my own car lift and small workshop / man cave. Some comments Ive read says the engine has to come out . If I was going down that road I'd probably change out the engine for a lower mileage one but some comments say you dont have to take out the engine , just the suspension side the clutch is on ? Any opinions on this welcome ? and would anyone recommend a PDF or manual for this job? Cheers

LUK clutches which I believe are to OE spec last at least a 100k (miles) in the Avensis T27.

I am not sure who or what is fitted here, or what the consumer's law you have where you are, but in the UK at least, many garages will respect the part warranty if it's down to quality with the part and within 12 months if I recall correctly.

I left mine for the garage to fit a BluePrint clutch (German) when she had 120000 miles, and the total cost in 2023 was £370 plus 20% VAT. The part itself was around £110 and the rest was labour and VAT charges.
