no code required, its plug and play, when you get a unit test it fully as there are a few about with USB faults

So is it best to buy a brand new one if the ones on likes of eBay are probably faulty?

In my opinion, it is best to go after market.

  1. Better sound quality
  2. Wireless AA / CarPlay
  3. More reliable
  4. Easier to add Amplifier / Active Subwoofer

anything used your taking a gamble on tbh, you can get a brand new one for £1500 from a dealer (the price of aftermarket mid-range full system -amps, sub(s) Speakers and radio)

1. yes if you stick with a decent brand, sound deadening and speaker upgrades are highly recommended

2. wireless AA/ACP is usually in £350 upwards range for a decent brand

3. yes and no, warranty and support from a decent brand, Android Junk from China not so much

4. not so much these days as most amps/active subs have line level in, aimed more at the OEM integration market
