215 70 16.  Some models came that size in 2005

You asked the same question twice which isn't helpful, and to compound matters you given different information in each thread!

Assuming that you currently have 235/60 R16 on the car:

  • Using 215/70 R16 would understate the actual speed by 3% - which is a move in the wrong direction but probably within an acceptable margin of error.
  • Using 215/70 R15 would overstate the actual speed by 0.7% - which would be absolutely fine.

Personally, I'm not too sure why you would want to switch to the narrower tyres ...

Probably cheaper and will have better fuel economy and grip on compromised surfaces at the expense of tyre life and dry grip.

If you want to stick with 16", 215/65r16 would be the closest size to 235/60r16

If the car comes from factory with the above sizes same engine just different trim levels you can switch between. , if not then better don’t switch.
Playing with tyre sizes especially on the same wheels without been offered by the manufacturer as an option it is not a good idea.
