2005 Aygo Additional Speakers

Dear Community

I would like to add some additional Speakers to my Aygo from 2005. I have a problem with the speaker connector, the side on the radio has 8 flat male pins where a plug can be inserted. On the plug i now have to insert the new 4 additional cables (r+, r-, l+, l-). I now need to know what size of crimp i need for this. I have a crimp tool and already crimped some cables for small cables i used for arduino breadboard projects. But the crimped cables of the car audio system seem to be bigger.

Does anyone know what type of crimp terminal / crimp connector i need to then be able to plug the crimped part into the plastic plug?

Any help is appreciated!

if it's the factory radio you may find the rear Speakers are disabled

the connector you have there is a standard ISO plug

Google "8 pin iso plug"

the best upgrade is to fit 2 way components 6.5" speaker in the door and fit the tweeters in the dash

Hello flash22,

Thanks for your input.

So i tested if the speaker would work if i just hold the cables in place so that they have a connection to the male pins. And they work, which means the rear Speakers are not disabled by default :).

After using the search term '8 pin iso plug' i actually found something promising.
