I'm thinking of revising the suspension on my TS and came acrross Bilstein's PSS9 adjustable coilovers...

Is there anyone out there with any impresssions on this toy? I am not so worried about handling improvements (I bet this would be the case) but more concerned how it'd fit the TS and whether there are any side-effects....

I probably did not make myself clear: I am certain there will be performance improvements (it is advertised as one of the best suspension systems money can buy) and that's my target. It has 9 different settings so you may play arond and change the driving character... ;)

I'm just asking whether this comes with any side effects.... :!Removed!:

great , and how often do you change it ??? ;)

whether there are any side-effects....

yes , the adjustment for the rear-coilovers are at the top ! So you have to climb inside your trunk and disassemble it to change the settings. :D

Honestly, How good a driver are you? Unless your a Very Good driver it is not worth fitting adjustable Coilovers!

You also need knowledge in chassis dynamics to get any real benefit.

If you just want it to look a little lower with some handeling improvement, its probably worth looking at something like TRD/TTE lowering Springs. visual improvement and guaranteed driving improvement, plus they won't affect your Warranty.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate all your comments. It seems to me now I still need to do some research on suspension and that I should probably try something else... Any suggestions then?

Hi,

For 240 euro you can get the TTE lowering springs.

Reduce body roll and improve stability during cornering

,increasing stability at high speed ,

warranty remains on your hands as well !

You might want to consider tein adjustable coil-overs with their EDFC (Electronic damping force controller)... this way, you can program your settings in the cabin.....
