Parking Sensor Issues after battery change

Recommended Posts

Hi

i’m hoping for some help. I recently changed my Battery on my 19 plate C-HR (petrol) and immediately after I couldn’t open my boot or one of my windows. After much fiddling about and turning the car or and off, I managed to get them working but I’ve since noticed that my parking sensors don’t work, I can’t even activate them on the digital display-it lights up as though it’s being selected, but it doesn’t get a green mark next to it.
I hoped that would correct itself but it hasn’t. Does anyone have any advice?

thank you in advance.

Have you tried driving it a short distance?

Thank you Mark. I have. I’ve driven it for a week now.

I assume the settings for parking assist is on in the menu?

Also, i spotted this in another post - worth a try

You usually need to turn the steering fully lock to lock then take the vehicle for a short drive, the warning lights will then go out.

The option is there to press but pressing doesn’t activate it.  It’s very strange. It lights the option up when I press it but it doesn’t stay on.
there is no fault or anything showing. I’ll try the steering wheel thing tomorrow and see if that does anything.
I wondered if it could be a fuse.
thanks again for your help.

Katy, if its possible to do on your model, it might be worth trying to do a system reset. This may force the system to recalibrate.

This does mean you'll lose all the settings, and will have to re-pair the phone to the car.

This is one option to try, but only if you're willing to do it.
