auris 2016 1.2 petrol 60,000 miles , bit of a strange problem someone might have come across in the past , odd times when starting car from warm , engine ill tick over but wont rev past tickiver, restart engine all is fine no problems, no warning lights or check engine light , any advice would be welcome l '

Hi Dennis,the likely problem is the throttle body or idle control valve. If the idle control valve is sticking or there's some carbon buildup in the throttle body, it can cause the engine to idle normally but prevent it from revving up when it's warm. Restarting the engine often clears the problem temporarily, which is why it runs fine after that.

Cleaning the throttle body and idle control valve would be a good place to start. If the problem continues, you may replace those parts.👍
