Buzzing sound when lights switched on

Good morning Everyone,

just this morning, when I switched the side lights on, there was a loud buzzing noise coming from under the bonnet.

Turned the side light switch off and the buzzing stops. Turn on and buzzing starts again. Raised the bonnet and the buzzing sound appears to be coming from the headlamp area on the drivers side.

This isn’t the normal lights on & door open warning, which is a high pitched, continuous beep, although this beep still operates as normal with door open. The buzzing is quite loud and very annoying. All lights are working front and rear and no warning symbols or the like on the dash.

Does anyone have any idea what this buzzing could be please and how do I stop it?

Many thanks, Phil.

Update: Buzzing is coming from the black box in the pics. The one with the white knob thingy on top. Anyone know what this is please and how I could fix it?

relay?

I'd have said so too. It's not latching properly so in a state of constant switching.

Thanks, any idea where the relay is located please? Is it the black box thing in the photos with the white knob on top?

Also, the buzzing starts when I switch the side lights on, is there a relay for those too which could be faulty?

Thanks.
