Aygo 2nd-gen Engine noises

Hi,

I was in two-minds whether I should make a thread about this but here goes anyway.

On start-up my Aygo engine rattles quite a bit. However after driving for a few minutes things are much better. Also on start-up (when the car engages to start) I am getting a quite loud scratchy/scrapy noise. A bit like sandpaper being scraped together but much louder. This noise goes away completly when the car is on/running. There is also slightly more growl present now in the lower engine RPM ranges (sound quite good actually).

I understand as engines age, more noises develop. I am just thinking how I can get my Aygo engine back to a more quite running as it was a few years ago. However I don't deem the issues major hence why I was thinking of not posting the thread.

I am 'thinking' of getting the MAP/MAF sensor, throttle body, PCV valve and IAT sensor cleaned but whether doing these would help with the above issues I have no idea.

I also note a slight drop in the MPG. Whether this is related to the above; again I am unsure. Hopefully someone has some advice.

Aygo 2017 MMT (Motorised Manual Transmission). 40,000 + miles.
